Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles

First stop, in Downtown Los Angeles, (what those in the know refer to as DTLA) is the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles. This stunning 123 rooms and suites hotel, offers a modern take on laid back California lifestyle. Here you can soak up the sun by the rooftop pool before arriving at the 24th floor for fine dining at Celebrity Chef, Wolfgang Puck’s, WP24. We love the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Club with dedicated concierge and daily culinary treats boasting the most breathtaking city views. At the end of the day, The Ritz-Carlton Spa makes the ultimate luxury spa experience whose treatment rooms evoke classic Hollywood glamour. For an urban twist on the traditional farm-to-spa experience, indulge in the Garden to Glamorous spa program, featuring treatment ingredients harvested from the hotel’s own rooftop garden.

Did you know, Los Angeles has more museums and theatres than any other U.S. city?  World class art has helped transform DTLA into a must visit neighborhood where WIT will curate a tour of contemporary art and culture. Starting at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), founded in 1979, whose mission is to present and interpret art created after 1940. During your private tour you will explore the work of Robert Rauschenberg, Joan Miró, and Nijideka Akunyili Crosby (who created the mural that wraps around the building). After lunch, head to the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, which opened in Little Tokyo in 1983 after a renovation by Frank Gehry. You will also want to visit the Broad, having opened in 2015 in DTLA. This museum drew headlines for its extensive contemporary art collection and Diller Scofidio + Renfro designed building, which resembles a futuristic honeycomb. Admiring the architecture outside alone is worth the visit. Once inside your guide will lead you to artist Yayoi Kusama’s now famous installation of thousands of twinkling LED lights called the Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away. Stay for lunch at Otium, the trendsetting restaurant by Chef Timothy Hollingsworth located next to the Broad.

Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel

Pool deck with checkered stairs

Staying in DTLA, we are excited to take you to the Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel.

The Proper re-imagines, with style forward updates, a historic Broadway Corridor landmark into a quintessentially cool, destination hotel. Somewhat new to the hospitality scene, Proper Hotels are high-end lifestyle experiences that seamlessly weave vintage influence with local culture. Here, in Los Angeles, the creative vision of Kelly Wearstler is seen in the 148 rooms and suites. This hotel is hip and trendy while retaining all the high end touches you would expect from a luxury brand. If historic architecture like The Proper is your thing, we could fill an entire list with nothing but Downtown’s stunning architecture. Instead, we’ll point you in the direction of the Los Angeles Conservancy’s acclaimed walking tours. You can choose between tours of modern skyscrapers, the Historic Core, Art Deco icons or Victorian mansions. For the foodies in the crowd, let WIT create a dine around experience for you featuring one of the most dynamic dining scenes in the country, offering everything from street food to Michelin-starred restaurants.

Kimpton Everly Hollywood

sunset view of city at rooftop pool

Next stop is Kimpton Everly Hollywood, located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills. Billed as “a low-key hideout”, the Everly is one block north of Hollywood Boulevard and across from the iconic Capitol Records Building. The Everly offers 216 guestrooms, including 12 suites that are eclectic and fun, all with views of the LA skyline or the Hollywood Hills. As a brand, Kimptons are restaurant driven properties and the Everly is no exception. On your “must try” list is Jane Q, the hotel’s casual all-day fare venue. Menus are sourced mostly from the nearby Hollywood Farmers Market with clean offerings, like their signature roast chicken or artisan brick oven pizzas. LAMILL coffee is the morning drink of choice, while ending your day might be with the ever so trendy, Aperol Spritzer. Location is everything and The Everly puts you right in the middle of the Hollywood Hills (aka home to the famous Hollywood Sign) and Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame, whose 2,500 plus stars adorn the sidewalks and pay homage to the entertainment industry’s biggest hit makers. For families, you’ll be near the LA Zoo and Universal Studios. Be sure to make time for the hotel’s 5th floor pool deck and lounge – both tres LA, and enjoy a gin lemonade while your little ones take a dip in the pool.

Kimpton La Peer Hotel

modern hotel lounge

Our final stop is the Kimpton La Peer Hotel located in West Hollywood, a walkable neighborhood nestled between Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Known for its high design and style, the La Peer’s 105 distinctive rooms and suites fit perfectly in this trendy area of LA. Steps from the hotel you will find boutique coffee shops, a range of dining options, design and art destinations, plus shopping on Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard. This neighborhood is considered the Design District, a “birthplace of trends”. Here you will find the Pacific Design Center, a hub for interior design tastemakers in Southern California, as well as a satellite exhibition branch of the MOCA. No trip is complete without a visit to iconic Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, filled with legionary brands and amazing people watching. Let WIT orchestrate your private shopping day in Beverly Hills, including everything from a personal shopper consultation, door to door luxury vehicle service, and lunch at Fred’s in the iconic Barney’s New York. You might try the Beverly Hills Club Sandwich chock full of shrimp and crab. Or we can set up an après-shop spa treatment at Ciel Spa, SLS Beverly Hills, a white-on-white, Philippe Starck-designed exclusive oasis. When the day is done, head back to La Peer for their hosted evening social hour or turn your suite into your private lounge with La Peer’s in room bottle service….either way you can’t go wrong.

WIT has very close relationships with these properties, so we can extend exclusive perks and special amenities to our clients.  Typically, you will receive complimentary breakfast for two daily, $100 or more resort credit to be utilized during your stay, room upgrade, either at the time of booking or arrival, and early check-in/late checkout, both subject to availability.
